Softease was formed by Danny Young and Geoff Titmuss back in 1994. Their vision was to create educational software that was intuitive and truly easy to use; this lead to the birth of Textease over a decade ago. Ten years of development experience has come together to produce some of the highest quality, award winning educational software tools now in daily use in over 50% of all UK primary schools. From 1st April 2006 Softease are pleased to welcome new Managing Director, Mr David Pearson and we look forward to a long and successful future under his careful guidance and expertise.
Major developments since the early days have lead to the addition of many more products in the Softease range, all designed with the same ease of use philosophy and an understanding of educational requirements in our rapidly changing technological age.
July 2005 saw the launch of Textease Studio CT the Ultimate in Classroom Tools. This latest development with NINE core ICT tools includes new tools Textease Draw CT (Educational Resource Awards 2006 finalist), Textease Movies CT and Textease Database CT (a revolutionary multi-user database). Textease Studio CT has lost no time in establishing itself as our new best seller as we strive to push back the boundaries of embedding ICT into the primary curriculum. Schools are also seeing the benefits of our new Community @ Home licence which enables them to license all their pupils and teachers to use the same software at home.
Other award winning products in the Softease range include:
Textease Timeline -- nominated for a BETT Award 2006
Tizzys First Tools shortlisted for a BETT Award 2004 and 2005, winner of the Practical Pre-School
Silver Award 2005 and winner of the Nursery World 2005 Gold Award for ICT.
The success of Softease is based on our commitment to meeting the needs of our customers with investment in research and development to ensure we are always at the leading edge of technological innovation, for example, take a look at our podcasting web pages and listen to some of our new exciting Schoolroompodcasts.
