Bursary Research Paper - Jane Finch |
The original intention for this research was to examine the question: Has the adoption of the QCA scheme of work for ICT had an effect on standards in ICT Capability?
As involvement with the project progressed it became clear that there was such a dramatic wind of change blowing through this particular institution that it was impossible to isolate one particular element. Thus, in the spirit of dynamic involvement that underpins action research, the focus changed to looking at the process of curriculum development in ICT and its effect on the actors involved.
The intention of this report is to outline the various influences on this process and to relate these to the effect on the development of ICT Capability of a targeted group of pupils.
